The Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology is in charge of organising The Lourdes Matha Catholic Educational Society introduced the Karunya Varsham Scholarship in 2016 as a part of its outreach initiatives. The goal is to expand this scholarship to assist all engineering students so they may advance in their engineering careers. This offers 50 deserving students the chance to earn 100% of their tuition fees waived. The KVS scheme is promoted by the Archdiocese of Changnacheri and the Lourdes Matha Catholic Educational Society.

Objective for Karunya Varsham Scholarship 2023
The Karunya Varsham Scholarship will provide students with financial assistance so they may complete their B. Tech. in the disciplines of Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication and Mechanical Engineering.
Benefits for Karunya Varsham Scholarship 2023
The benefits for this scholarship is given below:
- A targeted scholarship worth Rs 20,000 INR 5000 per year is available to 10 students among the top chosen qualified candidates. If they are enrolled in any Kerala self-financing institution such as LMCST and are studying engineering, they can achieve this.
- The first 33 students on the merit list receive a PIN 50 percent in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and a 100% tuition price remission i.e for those students who attend LMCST for Rs 75,000 are qualified for compensation.
- All qualified applicants who pass the KVS exam and agree to the requirements will get a of Rs 10,000.
Eligibility Criteria
The Eligibility Criteria for this scholarship is given below:
- Students that received at least 60% of their grade in the plus one are eligible for the scheme.
- The KEAM Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical test is required for students to qualify.
- Those who met the requirements to register in B.Tech at LMCST are eligible for the scholarship.
- Students must successfully complete all topics in each semester’s first try to renew their scholarships.
