The Maulana Azad Abul Kalam Scholarship’s primary goal is to provide elementary educational infrastructure and facilities in communities without a formal education system and to underprivileged minorities who lack sufficient funding for colleges, universities and other training facilities. Eligibility Criteria
The Eligibility Criteria for this scholarship is given below:
- The Maulana Azad Education Foundation offers two different kinds of scholarships: the Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship and the Maulana Azad Fellowship. The following sections each list the requirements for each grant separately.
Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship
- Only female pupils are eligible for this grant.
- The candidate must fall under one of these classifications or religious groups, such as
- Muslim
- Christian
- Buddhist
- Jain or Parse.
- The applicant must be enrolled in school for grades 9 through 12.
- The candidate must have earned at least 50% of the possible points in the prior session.
- A household’s yearly revenue shouldn’t exceed 2 lakh per year.
- More than two students from the same household cannot be eligible for the scholarship.
Maulana Azad Fellowship
- The candidate must fall under one of these groups or religions, including Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, Parse, Sc or St.
- The candidate must be enrolled in a normal, full time M.Phil or Ph.D. course at a college or university.
- The family’s total yearly revenue shouldn’t be more than Rs 2.5 lakh.
- At the graduate level, the student should have obtained a minimal mark of 50%.
- Candidates who identify as transgender may also register under the scheme.
- According to the rules set forth by the Indian government, reservations are made.
