After receiving the fellowship funds under the Savitribai Jyotirao Phule Fellowship for Single Female Child the single female child or students would now be able to pursue a PHD degree or postdoctoral studies. This fellowship will pay for the fellowship money, a grant for contingencies, an allowance for escorting readers etc. The student must be enrolled in a full time course of study. Under this fellowship, a single girl student would get a contingency grant and a monthly fellowship payment ranging from Rs. 31,000 to Rs. 35,000. Students who fall under one of the protected groups such as SC/ST/OBC and PWD would be awarded or given age relaxation.
