Medhashree Scholarship
New scholarships have been made available through the Medhashree scholarship according to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The West Bengal State Cabinet has authorized this initiative since the federal government has decided to stop funding scholarship schemes for members of the Other Backward Classes OBC. Students from Classes 5 to 8 from underprivileged backgrounds and other minority populations will be given the scholarship.
